    You are absolutely right that there are virtually no buses per se at around midnight. Having said that, there is one travel agent by the name of A1 travels, it has Non A/C Seater (2+2) bus service that starts officially from 11:15 PM but normally it starts at around 11:45 PM.     On 22 may i have train reservation from salem in chennai train which starts at 21.00 hrs from salem. i am in coimbatore on 22nd may till 4.30 PM, whether i have any super fast/delux/PP bus around 4.30 pm to 5.00 pm from coimbatore to reach salem around 8.45 pm.
